Camila Gonzalez once again showed she can hold her own with the best as she placed 40th overall to represent the Pasadena City College women's cross country team at the 3C2A State Championships held Saturday morning at Fresno's Woodward Park.

Pasadena City College freshman Camila Gonzalez got below 20 minutes for the first time in a 5-kilometer race as she raced a season-best 19 minutes, 47.08 seconds for 23rd place individually at the Southern California Championships held Friday at San Diego's Naval Training Center Park.

The Pasadena City College women's cross country team took part at the Golden West Central Park Classic on Sept. 22 with Summer Hamilton once again leading the squad in 53rd place. Hamilton ran the 5-kilometer course in 24 minutes, 27.3 seconds.
